It only seems like yesterday when Carmelina Palmisano started working in the family-run bakery in Burano (est. 1928), in the very heart of the Venetian lagoon, so young she needed a stool to work at the counter.

It is there that she first began mixing flour, eggs, butter and flavoring to create or renew a series of typical cookies
Nowadays these biscuits are some of the best-known in the Venetian cookies-making tradition, and the still active bakery attracts tourists from all over the world.

Thanks to the experience she has gained, Carmelina Palmisano still creates recipes which epitomize her love for good, wholesome food, and her business has been gradually growing over the years, though staying loyal to her traditional homemade techniques.
Since 1998 her biscuits are produced and distributed by  “M.G. Biscotteria Veneziana” and can still be enjoyed  locally as well as further afield in Italy and abroad, having transformed a local product into a world-famous fine food. To make sure the tradition is carried on, Carmelina’s daughter and her son are managing the company.
Currently our consolidated market is the Italian Food Service and Retail (Private Label And OwnBrand). Since 2012 we've started to deliver products to European and Global Markets.
